Lisa is a maker and artist with skills in prop making, model building, and puppet design.

The inspiration for her creative career arrived when Jim Henson's Creature Shop Challenge debuted in the Spring of 2014. Enamored by the artistry and science of creature effects, she threw herself into learning sculpture, mold-making, casting and the myriad other techniques that go into bringing a creature to life. Before long, she had gained the skills and confidence to become a puppet designer for a theater troupe in Orlando called Phantasmagoria.

Her creative interests continued to evolve and expand to include a wide range of fabrication methods. In 2017, she was able to leave her previous career as an educator and instructional designer and make prop-making her livelihood. As part of the THEA-award-winning Universal Creative Prop & Model Shop crew she took part in the creation of major attractions such as Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motor Bike Adventure at Islands of Adventure in Orlando and Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Japan. She has also contributed prop designs to a variety of theatrical productions, costumed events, films, music videos, and visual merchandising displays as a freelance artist. In addition, she has been invited to share her expertise as a guest speaker and cosplay judge at several pop culture conventions.
